The Western Canadian Indoor Championship Series (WCICS) Leg 1 - Edmonton.

Last Weekend we kicked off the 2007/2008 WCICS with the first race in Edmonton, Alberta, a 3 hour trek from Calgary. We had open practice on Friday evening until around midnight to get a feel for the track layout in preparation for 3 Rounds of qualifying on Saturday followed by a "Last Chance" qualifier and mains on Sunday. Thanks to N.A.S.C.A.R. for putting on an awesome race.

I participated in the stock brushless & 19Turn brushed classes. After 4 rounds of qualifying I was to start 7th in the "A"Main in the Stock Class and 2nd in the "B"Main in the 19turn class.

One of the local R/C body painters was in attendance on Sunday and managed to take some pics of my car in action.
At the end of it all I managed to finish 4th in the Stock Class and maintain 2nd place throughout my entire 19turn main. I'm happy with my results and am looking forward the the next race in Lethbridge, Alberta. It's back to Club racing for a while though as our next series race isn't until the middle of January.

Welcome to "Fast" Eddy Racing

OK Ridge Racer....Here goes.

I decided to start this blog as a way to track my progress and to share my experiences in a hobby that I have taken up in the last couple years....This will be my third complete season of 1/10th scale onroad touring car racing.

For the second year I travelled to Las Vegas to participate in one of the largest R/C car events (IIC) in the world. I was travelling solo from Calgary as none of my CARCAR compadres were able to make it this year. Thankfully I was able to meet up with my buddy David from Wisconsin and would have someone to harass for the entire week....Thanks Dave!! Check out Dave's Blog!

With the IIC occuring before the carpet season up here at my home track begins, I was a little rusty?? Nonetheless it was another fantastic experience and I am looking forward to the race next year.
